What is Laser Welding?

Laser welding is one of the most advanced welding technologies used to join the materials through the use of a laser. The laser beam provides a concentrated heat source, allowing for narrow, deep welds and high welding rates. Laser welding is a very fast and efficient welding process that is highly suited for automated processes.

Hifa electric provides 2 kinds of laser welding machine: FR-LA-1500 series(support 1000~3000W laser power with water-cooling system) and FR-LA-30E(1500W laser power, light weight – 38kg and small size with air-cooling system). Advantages of Laser Welding

Hifa laser welding offers several advantages that cannot provided in other welding methods. Some of the defined characteristics of Hifa laser welding are:

  • High Welding Speed: Hifa Laser welding machines could support the welding speed around 120 mm/s, it’s 4~10 times of efficiency than other welding, reduce the unit cost.
  • High Welding Quality: Because of low heat input and precise laser power control, the heating and melting of the materials is centralized and localized, the parts could achieve excellent welding quality.
  • Flexible and easy to Use: Torch with special nozzle supports for different angle and position. The light hand torch is easy for operation, general staff can welding and no need special training.
  • Support Multiple Functions: Welding, cutting, de-rusting, weld seam cleaning, etc.
  • Support Multiple Materials: Allow several welding materials, such as steel, stainless, aluminum, brass and cooper, etc.

Laser Welding for Materials

Application for Laser Welding

Laser welding applications span across a diverse array of industries, such as automotive components, household appliances, stainless steel products, aerospace, etc.

  • Automotive Industry: Laser welding is widely used in the automotive sector for precise and efficient welding of components, such as body parts and exhaust systems. The automotive industry benefits from the speed, accuracy, and cleanliness of laser welding.
  • Aerospace and Aviation: In aerospace applications, where structural integrity is critical, laser welding ensures strong and reliable welds. It is employed in the production of aircraft components, engines, and other critical parts.
  • Elevator and Appliances: The intricate structure demands high precision in manufacturing. Laser welding is instrumental in creating small, detailed welds for components in these industries.

Laser Welding Applications

Conclusion
